Plot Summary
The story follows Renee, a teenage girl who feels somewhat disconnected from the world around her. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers a strange alien creature hidden in the desert.
At first, fear takes over—as it would for anyone encountering something unknown. But slowly, curiosity replaces fear, and Renee begins to form a quiet bond with the creature, which she names “Croak.”
